Taking a Flamenco approach, this work deals with the historical events of 1714 “from a more or less hidden standpoint”, with a selection of texts by Enric Palomar. A tribute to the social classes who were most uprooted by that time in history, at the hands of Pere Martínez, one of the leading voices on the current scene, from the fruitful breeding ground of the music school Taller de Músics. Martínez sings about characters and situations that existed in the trenches and on the defensive front line during the siege: prostitutes, smugglers, criminals of all kinds. With his voice, the young flamenco singer, who will perform accompanied by guitarist Juan Carlos Gómez, shows that there is an inexhaustible reserve of Catalan flamenco of the highest quality.
