A ten-out-of-ten festival!

The festival El Més Petit de Tots, created in Sabadell by La Sala Miguel Hernández, celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. And it does so by growing a little bit more for this special occasion: with performances in ten theatres around Catalonia to celebrate ten years!

The festival presents a selection of contemporary shows, designed specifically for young children, where everything is very close and intensely alive; where all the artistic languages have their place and come together: music, theatre, dance, audiovisuals, games, etc.

This year’s programme is more international than ever, with companies from Quebec, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy and Holland. And shows as unusual as Primo, where the spectators sit around a swimming pool and discover, through the windows, the bodies of two dancers who play in the water. There’s also Entre deux pluies too, choreographed for a solo dancer, 300 kilos of black stones and a few raindrops; and Kleur (“Colour”), where the result of the show is a colourful picture that dancers paint while dancing – not just with a brush or their hands and fingers but with the whole body.

And to specially celebrate this tenth anniversary, this year’s festival will close with a party at the Mercat de les Flors, which will occupy all the spaces and whose biggest attraction will be Little Night, a large-format sensory experience on an interactive floor covering more than 200 sq m.
