What is APROPA CULTURA?
The Apropa Cultura socio-educational programme is an initiative created by the cultural institutions and the public administration. It is aimed at the users of social centres that work with people in situations of inequality, discrimination, vulnerability and social exclusion.
Apropa Cultura is a unique booking service that offers these social sectors access to the best cultural facilities in the participating towns in a normal environment where they can enjoy music, theatre, dance and circus shows of the highest quality.
It is an experiment in inclusion highly valued by educators as a resource for addressing personal development and the rights and obligations of users. Apropa Cultura complements its work with informative sessions prior to requests for shows and with artistic training aimed at social workers.
It offers over 15,000 tickets for more than 300 music, theatre and dance shows in 24 cultural venues around Catalonia.
