Balbir, el meu avi is a dance show for the whole family based on the experiences of choreographer Thomas Noone and the Hindu stories his grandfather told him when he was a child. This piece serves to explore the world’s cultural diversity and show that difference is something to celebrate and enjoy. Contemporary dance with a touch of Bollywood and Bhangra, and six energetic dancers who dazzle with their pace.
TND uses contemporary language to develop the choreography and movement and looks for new forms of communication with audiences in each new work. Their mastery of technique, collaboration with artists from other disciplines and the emotionality of the creations are some of the characteristics that define this company, based in Barcelona since 2001. Thomas Noone Dance has been the resident company at SAT!, Sant Andreu Teatre in Barcelona since 2005.
Thomas Noone won the City of Barcelona Award for Dance in 2011
