AFRICA MOMENT: Write & think workshop: Performing Arts and Decolonial Journalism

This workshop aims to reflect on journalistic practices in relation to performing arts from a non-Eurocentric, intercultural and decolonial perspective, as well as to learn the necessary writing tools to engage on journalistic work in an ethical and critical way when reviewing culturally diverse artists and their artistic production.
Workshop aimed at professionals including cultural journalists, communicators, cultural activists, bloggers, performers, thinkers, journalism students, scriptwriters, scholars and other body and word professionals.

Workshop guided by:
Clàudia Brufau Bonet journalist and cultural communicator specialized in dance. She is currently responsible for communication of the European platform Aerowaves and at l’Estruch, Factory for the Creation of the Living Arts, in Sabadell. As a Critic and dance journalist, she writes for different media such as Springback Magazine, El Núvol or La Revista Musical Catalana.
Tamia Guayasamin Granda (Quito, Ecuador), choreographer and producer, founder of the Balao artistic residence space and Esmeraldas en Movimiento project, dance training and creation for Afro-descendants of Esmeraldas, Ecuador. Master’s Degree in Advanced Theater Studies with an emphasis on Dramaturgy by the International University of La Rioja (Spain). Graduate in Arts of the Movement from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes de Argentina -UNA.
