Workshop with Quim Bigas

When we play “hide and seek” we hope that the place where we hide, wear us and hide us. We hide with space and space appears with us. However, hiding is also a way to disappear and stop being oneself. In Son Goku he merged with Vegeta, through a dance, to be more courageous but also to stop being himself and being another person.

In this workshop we will open and explore the hiding place as a way of understanding the body and the relationships with space in order to take us to a movement of different volumes that makes us disappear to emerge as another. Empathy, listening and observation will be essential motors for this dance workshop that seeks the strength of the group and the individual through games and open movement patterns in order to get to know each other in movement and situation.

Quim Bigas works in the fields of dramaturgy, choreography and documentation. He approaches dance for her interest in composition, conversation, exercise and encounter. In recent years he has worked in different contexts, such as street theater, collective creations, collaborations with other creators, intervention in museums, interpretations of creations by other artists, writing for specialized media and dramaturgy or tracking artistic to other artists.
