Africa Moment with Mercat de les Flors

With triangular connections between Africa, Latin America and Europe, Africa Moment aims to generate spaces for creation and thinking through the body, to contribute to the positioning of African creation and its diaspora within the national and international scene, transforming the performing arts sector towards diversity and inclusion at a transversal level.

The VI International Live Arts Gathering Africa Moment’22 will be celebrated from November 21th to December 14th in Barcelona and Terrassa, with an avant-garde interdisciplinary program that will offer a training program for professional artists and a digital section with content accessible from all over the world, in addition to its creative residency program, new productions and artistic scholarships. For the first time, this sixth edition will launch the AM22PRO section, exclusively for professionals in the sector.

This event is promoted by the Africa Moment association, founded by Cameroonian bioarchitect Angel Fulla.

This year the festival presents the show Kolochi Baw by Cia Aïda Colmenero Dïaz and Smeer, by Trixie Munyama. The Mercat incorporates the piece Cheered lies, by Mozambican choreographer Panaíbra Gabriel Canda, into the festival.
