Organized by the Mercat and the Taller de Músics, the most modern face of flamenco will be presented at this festival, a project jointly organised by the Mercat and the Taller de Músics, which this year will take its inspiration from the legacy of Carmen Amaya. What remains of Carmen?

Ciutat Flamenco is a platform and meeting point for stirring up interest in flamenco, reviewing and experimenting with it. It is a proposal open to other disciplines and in particular to the new trends and emerging projects that follow an experimental line of work. A yearly keynote event committed to the most contemporary, transcultural and universal vision of national and international flamenco. A week of flamenco offering the premieres of commissioned productions, concerts, workshops, artistic residencies, audiovisuals, exhibitions, competitions, video installations and dance sessions hosted by a DJ.
