FID (Finestra d’Internacionalització de la dansa catalana) 2017

FID (Finestra d’Internacionalització de la dansa catalana – Catalan Dance Internationalization Window) was born as a platform for the internationalization of Catalan Dance. It’s structured as a meeting of professionals of the performing arts and presented as an internationalization action within the Marc de política pública d’internacionalització de les arts escèniques catalanes (Public policy framework for the internationalization of Catalan performing arts). A professional meeting point that aims at delving into the international promotion of the work and artistic universe of selected artists.

Since its first edition in 2012, FID has been defined as a collaborative project, structured according to the needs and motivations of the Catalan dance sector, which takes part in it. A stable group of more than 60 agents, among which there are representatives of reference structures (Mercat de les Flors, Graner and La Caldera), festivals (Sismògraf, Temporada Alta, Festival TNT, Festival SÂLMON), representatives of the two professional associations (Acpdc & APdC), independent venues (La Poderosa, Antic Teatre, La Visiva, Sala Hiroshima), independent artists, agents, producers and cultural managers.

FID was thus designed following an inclusive and receptive methodology; it is prone to transformation and change from one edition to the next, clearly trying to answer to different ways of meeting and generating dialogue between the different parts, i.e. the artists and the agents.
