RAMON BALAGUÉ & SÒNIA GÓMEZ & ASTRIO A vore

A vore is a transitory, hybrid project and “tradifiction” about popular culture in the area known as Terres de l’Ebre, an exploration of music and dance based on the records of traditions and their expressiveness: rhythms, dances and texts from the Baix Ebre – Montsià and Baix Maestrat regions, which interact though the music of Astrio and the performative dance of Sònia Gómez.

With his production company Minifilms, Ramon Balagué has made documentaries for Spanish TV (TVE) such as Redes and El cazador de cerebros. As a musician he has composed for choreographers such as Rafael Bonachela, Roberto Olivan and the company IT Dansa. Sònia Gómez is a dancer, performer and choreographer. Her shows are multidisciplinary productions featuring a wide variety of materials drawn from different disciplines. These add greater depth – with the emphasis on consistence and entertainment – to a show that is as complex as it is sophisticated.
