Language: french (with catalan subtitles)

Cédric Andrieux is a solo piece choreographed for the dancer who lends his name to the work. In this show, the performer reviews his own career: first, his training as a contemporary dancer in Brest (France) and at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris, later as a member of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company in New York, and recently with the Lyon Opera Ballet.

Cédric Andrieux is part of a series of performances initiated in 2004 with the solo Véronique Doisneau, dedicated to the dancer of the same name from the Paris Opera dance troupe, which was followed in 2005 by Isabel Torres, titled after the dancer at the Teatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro, and the duet Pichet Klunchun and myself. Each production relates the artist’s experiences in the first person, set against the background of the history of Western and Asian choreography.

After working in various dance companies, Jérôme Bel began presenting his own pieces, using simple actions and set /designs and stripped of any ornamentation. He has been creating works since 1994 and is considered one of the most outstanding representatives of the non-dance movement.
