EL CANAL – CENTRE D’ARTS ESCÈNIQUES SALT / GIRONA Concert per a Nadons

THE SHOW

Based on the prestigious work of musician and teacher Paulo Lameiro, the mind behind the Portuguese project Concertos para bebés, this Concert per a nadons consists of concerts where young children up to 3 years old are invited to listen to music. This is not musical theatre, nor is it a story or a tale that unfolds. This proposal seeks the shared enjoyment of the music by performers and infants, parents and siblings, grandparents and friends. Each concert is an experience entailing exchange and rapport, where the discovery of live music and the silence generate intense, surprising moments.

THE PROJECT

The project is being developed by El Canal – Centre d’Arts Escèniques Salt/Girona, and one of its aims is to establish a Catalan artistic group on the basis of this work. The method being used to form this company is a creative residency where a group of about twenty-five musicians participate in theoretical and practical workshops.
