A journey of music and colour inspired by the world of Sol LeWitt
Dot is a surprising show in which dance, theatre, music and the new technologies are combined to create a magical puzzle where anything is possible.
Taking as its starting point the stimulating work of the North American artist Sol LeWitt, closely linked to minimalism and considered a pioneer of conceptual art, we witness the transformation of a huge white wall into a space abounding in colour.
Maduixa Theatre’s premise for its shows is that the performing arts for young children should arouse a strong desire to play and experiment. The Valencian company has staged other family shows such as Ras!, inspired by Joan Miró’s work, and Consonant, about the world of the poet Joan Brossa. With Dot the company has won this year’s FETÉN (International Festival of Theatre for Children) award for the best show.
