MARTIN ZIMMERMANN Hallo

Theatre, circus and dance: Martin Zimmermann is a movement artist, an extraordinary contortionist and a great exponent of deadpan humour. For the first time he has created a solo piece in which he tries to placate his fascinations, giving life to characters that only exist in his imagination.

For this new show Martin Zimmermann has designed a space that suggests the window of a department store, where he appears onstage with his tragicomic double to cope with the desire to become the person he believes he really is. The actor has to grapple with gravity, the objects round about him get in the way, and magic puts in an appearance.

This Swiss artist has created numerous internationally acclaimed shows, most of them with composer Dimitri de Perrot. His work is a kind of theatre without words, displaying great attention to detail and full of absurd humour.
