To implement our line of educational programmes, we created the Dan Dan Dansa didactic dossier, which is organised into work blocks and uses the universal parameters and codes of the language of dance and movement: related to body, space, and composition. It functions through the proposal of activities at teacher-friendly venues. In the last few years it has travelled to schools all over Catalonia. It is a set of resources for experiencing dance at school in a non-professionalising atmosphere. In some respects, in view of the subjects tackled and the proposed methodology, it identifies us: summarizing our lines of work as well as the educational values of the dance that we aim to transmit at the Mercat de les Flors.
CaixaEscena offered to include the content and methodology of the Dan Dan Dansa didactic dossier to its online platform. Both entities share the same objectives as regards the creation of models and resources to assist teachers in the field of the practice and knowledge of the performing arts at school. With this premise in mind we teamed up to digitise the original didactic dossier of the Mercat de les Flors for the online platform CaixaEscena.
Using the digitized tools we find in the Dan Dan Dansa didactic dossier, we want to invite and open the way for all teachers and students to introduce, in their particular context, dance into the classroom with a diversity of materials and tools. These include interactive programmes, videos, tutorials, visual arts materials, and pedagogical guides for teachers with specific references to the competency-based curriculum.
